Gas Charged Lift Supports Gas Springs
Gas springs are a proven and reliable method of counterbalancing large, heavy covers and objects. They offer safe lifting, lowering and positioning of heavy or cumbersome objects. More versatile than mechanical springs, gas springs offer the advantages of speed-controlled dampening, cushioned end motion, simple mounting, compact size, and a wide range of available forces. Optimized Design A gas spring is a sealed cylinder consisting of the following basic components: rod, tube, piston, seals, end attachments, in addition to pressurized inert gas and a small amount of oil. Although we use standard components, each gas spring is custom designed and manufactured to meet specific needs.
Gas springs are used as a hydraulic damping element in many of today‘s vehicles. A special seal-guide mounted in the pressure tube along with a damping piston and valve system regulates piston movement and oil displacement, thus producing the damping effect. Dampers are needed to influence the nature of movements and vibrations. Dampers are designed to optimally match a particular application. Dampers are also used for dampening vibrations in vehicle steering systems, engine mounting and ride control systems.
